Meet Your Trainer…
Thanks for visiting Retriever Prospects, a small training company offering services for Goldens and Labs since May of 2025.
A 2016 graduate of The Ohio State University, Megan Richardson majored in Psychology (minors in English and Addiction Counseling) before diving into puppy whelping, raising, and training full time in January of 2017. For the past eight years, Megan has worked for multiple kennels of various specialties. Her work has taken her to the following states with hope for more in the future: Ohio, Indiana, Florida, South Carolina, North Carolina, Georgia, New York, Massachusetts and Connecticut. She has coached hundreds of hours of private lessons and placed service dogs for individuals in wheelchairs, those who need mobility support, deep pressure therapy, retrieval of dropped items of various shapes, materials, and sizes, and more. Here, Megan is pictured with Turbo Flash’s Canyon, a mobility support dog trained by Dog Trainer’s Workshop and The Service Dog Institute of South Carolina.
Her personal dog Ramsey has received the following accolades over the years:
HR Turbo 2.0 Dame of The Clouds CDX MH13 QA2 SCN SIN TKA RATO WCX VC CCA ***
In her spare time, Megan enjoys photography, singing, ballroom, blues, and swing dancing, listening to music, hunting, cycling, and practicing American Sign Language. She is a recovering alcoholic with more than two years of sobriety and wrestles with depression, anxiety, and PTSD, so she is adequately prepared to understand her client’s unique struggles with compassion and care.
